I need some advice. Work is cutting back travel this year and I'll be lucky to make 2P this year on UA with just corporate travel. I need help making a strategy for 2010 so I can keep 1K status. What part of the year are flights the cheapest? Is it cheaper to take a few transpac trips or many domestic trips. DEN is my new home airport and the prices here suck. Any help with a plan to get miles in 2010 is appreciated. Thanks!

I can get 1K for about 5K with RTs to SIN, but that costs too much. I'm looking for 2-3K in spend, I also plan on staying in overseas destinations for a few days, then I'll call it a vacation and my friends won't think I'm insane.
