Wondering if the AMEX Gold card offer I got is decent ...
You get a 20K Delta miles after first purchase, and apparently
no annual fee for first year. I assume this means you can collect
your 20K miles and then cancel before the annual fee is billed.
Is this correct ? Do they actually give you the miles ?

I had a horrible experience with USAir MasterCard recently (they
would not give me the miles, after many months and phone calls, until
I finally invoked my state's attorney general) and do not want a repeat.
That one was issued by Barclay's, which apparently is notorious ...
