I registered by chance. I was very late to my LY Y flight and went to the business live to save time and they pulled me over to register, promised me 2 mins registration and 2 mins going through the system. I rarely fly LY.

Regiatration is fast, take PP details, take picture and fingerprint. Get magnetic card with ur name on it,

the actual security process is not coherent, u go from station to station put ur card and do things like identify urself, answer questions, swab ur luggage. At the end they manually handed me a luggage security tag so I do not know how it would be in reality. At check in there is a small machine to prove via the card that u went through security (not sticker on PP)

I had the guy who registered it with me show me step by steped but it was rushed and did not work perfectly....

I am not clear if I can use this system if going to other airlines, I assume u can if u do not have to actually check in (OLCI) as they dont have the security verification system yet...
