I tried to do a search both here and on CO's website and couldn't find the information, so I thought I'd try the knowledgeable FTers.

I have a non-refundable international trip booked and I might need to cancel it. Let's say the ticket cost $1150. The change fee on the ticket is $150.

If I cancel the ticket before departure, does it give me a $1000 credit to use on CO? Let's say I then want to purchase three domestic trips at $333 each, would that work?

My question is essentially how many times will I be charged the $150 change fee? Just once for canceling the ticket or each time I use credit from the canceled trip?
