Today is 90 days for the outbound and neither DL or NW web would allow me to select seats. DL agent got the seat I wanted for MSP-NRT but there are still issues with NRT-ICN (see below) so I asked for 22D since I was told there are two exit rows. However, when I go to the NW seatmap it looks like 24D could be a better seat so I am still not clear which 757 map to select on SeatGuru.

In terms of upgrading my M fare with PMUs from NRT-ICN-NRT, DL said no way to waitlist so I then talked to a NW agent who said my certificates were not in the system. I told her I was home because my mother is in the hospital and the PMUs are at the office but she said everything would be ok if they were NW certificates. I go back to DL who says there is no space available up front. I understand the whole DL Z/NW U inventory but not the idea that having NW certificates or at least having DL PMUs already in the reservation might make a difference for at least waitlisting (and I don't want to use miles).
