I'll join the chorus in recommending the burger joint, in the Parker Meridien hotel. A great burger, fries and a beer there will set you back about $12. Another option for a great burger, if you don't mind upping your price point a bit, is 5 Napkin Burger, in Hells Kitchen (9th Avenue and 45th Street).
