The question about papeete was because on the AA site it says that flights to Easter Island have to be Transpacific via Papeete and not via SCL. Otherwise the SCL - PPT has to be booked seperately.

But actually, that doesn't matter, I am just complicated things. If I can get a straight forward flight to GYE that is fantastic, and exactly what I was looking for, and if LAN J is good, that's even better.
