I have not flown BA for some time but have a trip to Jo'burg planned in a few weeks. All of the chatter on this site these days makes me wonder whether I ought to throw in the towel on BA and the OW Alliance and move over to SAA/UA and SA. I live in Washington so it's an easy hop to Jo'burg on a one-stop via DKR rather than the 2-night journey via LHR. I have always enjoyed the BA experience and appreciate the free access to AA lounges in the US w/ OW status; just not sure I'll be as happy/comfortable on UA and SAA.

I'd be interested in hearing opinions...
