Beckles, I think you're right on. It really depends on a lot of circumstances (in my experience) what they can/will do for you. I have favorite DL counter/gate agents at about 5 airports, and if they are working, I know ive got a shot at 'special considerations'. Of course, if I wasn't Gold, it would be quite different.
