To keep this thread airline specific, and away from individual airport security concerns, perhaps I need to rephrase my question.

Has anyone on a NW/DL intl flight in the past week encountered a problem using a laptop, or using the facilities, within the hour prior to arrival? My booked trip is still cancelable- no fee, but if the above are problems, I'll bail.

That is my main concern. I do appreciate the comments on the security functions at the airport, but I'd have to deal with whatever they are, regardless of carrier.
