I just flew (4th Jan) QF30 LHR/HKG on an AA Business Class Award ticket and was assigned seat 2K in the front cabin (with F seats) as a One World Emerald. AA were only able to assign me seats in the other J cabins but I phoned QF and they were able to move me forward once they confimed my OW status. Whilst the QF 747 F seats aren't the best F seats in OW, they are superior to any OW J seats that I have ever used, although I haven't yet tried the QF A380. Combined with the excellent service, food and wines offered and the general F cabin comfort and ambience, I thought that I got a terrific bargain. Incidentally, when I booked this segment last October there was no U class availablility with BA or CX, so my choice as limited!
