One thing you're really expected to do is to try to search that kind of stuff for yourself.
Like go to www.cleartrip.com or www.irctc.co.in and book it. You have all the timings - and I guess you can calculate by yourself how long it takes based on those timings? Or if one ticket costs X, how much will 2 tickets cost? etc.
