Well I arrive at the airport 1:10 before my flight. Once again I have a paid J ticket and proceed to Exectutive Class counter. There are seven ppl in front of me with about half of them being families with children. I notice only one agent working the desk. Well it took b/w 35-40 minutes to check-in!!! Longest I have waited in my life on any airline.
I agree. That is too long to wait with a paid J ticket.
As far as avoiding the line, if you had no checked bags would could have just used a kiosk. If you had a bag to check, the bag drop line might have turned out faster. If you were on an international paid J ticket, you could also have availed yourself of the Concierge service, but you'd have to know where to look for them.
