The points are really bad with this program and I echo the other's comments that Plat means nothing in this system. Because the BW's are decent in Asia I used to stay there a lot, but isn't really worth it otherwise as it is a discount chain and is very hit and miss in terms of even decent quality (as a university student I remember how many in the US would be of the lowly Travelodge quality).

I have switched to Starwood as I do get upgrades and their points are much better, particularly with all the bonus points promos they have. The only time I will stay with a BW is if I am traveling for pleasure internationally and there isn't a Starwood available... my last trip I stayed with a BW because it was extremely cheap, but I learned that you get what you pay for.
