I have had excellent experience with my Briggs & Riley luggage. They are among the only luggage companies (or perhaps THE only company?) to offer a lifetime no-questions-asked warranty for everything they make.
That said, the biggest issue I have with my 21" Transcend carry-on is that it's actually a hair too big to fit in the bin without a hearty shove. Likewise, once it's wedged in the bin, it's impossible to remove without some brute force.
Major issue I've seen with most 20/21/22" carry-ons is that the manufacturers usually take their measurements from the INSIDE of the bag and specifically exclude any exterior frames, handles, accessories, etc...As such, my 21" bag has manufacturer provided dimensions of 43.5 linear inches (within regulation) but the ACTUAL exterior measurements, including the external frame, is closer to 48" (NOT in regulation).
