Land-crossings, for the time being, will not require submittal to the nude-o-scope.
As long as they allow for the option of a "pat-down" -- even the "3-5" minute version as some sort of penalty for not submitting to a strip search by the machine -- I will still fly and tolerate the "pat-down". I will try to take my jolly time with the "pat-down" and see no problem if the screeners want to make it last as long as I think I can afford to have it last while still making my flights.
This version of civil disobedience is going to be able to make this "option" unsustainable, and governmental mandating of a strip search in order to use public carriers/public facilities ought to invite some court challenges sooner than later.
