It has been lightly mentioned, but is worth noting again.

Written correspondence is the only true way to protect you rights in a dispute. Phone calls are nice and often work; however, they do not protect you under the federal legislation.

As for NWA actions. They are irritating - yes. You should always document a semi-complicated transaction like that. Is it worth your time to fight this when you have not really lost anything. You still have your credit with NWA so use it in the future.
