The story was basically that he said something to me in Arabic which I didn't understand and kept walking. He thought that I was a local and since I was carrying a bag into the lobby he figured I was probably some sort of suicide bomber and jumped me. When I started screaming at him in English it became plainly obvious I wasn't a local and he backed off very apologetically. S**t happens.
