I must admit that I'm not a big fan of these new seats, and don't even think about asking my wife what she thinks of them; she absolutely hate them! (When in Y, she quite often ask herself, why anybody thought it was a good idea to design a seat that one needs 3 pillows behind the back to make it just a little bit more comfortable....)

But, and this is a big BUT! We both feel that there is a big advantage with not having the seat in front of you taking up more of "your" space. On our last trip together, we discussed this matter, and both agreed that even if we don't think the seats are very comfortable, there is again this advantage with not having the other seat recline and make it even more cramped back there.

The funny thing though, is that I'm 187cm tall (6.14") and my wife is 167cm (5.48") and both of us have the exact same problem with these seats, and that is that after a while (in the recline position) the legs start to hurt a lot (mainly the thighs). One thing that is kind of strange as well, is that when you have the seat in the recline position, there is a big gap between the top of the cushion and the headrest. I don't understand why they didn't think about having the possibility to lower the headrest further down so it could be positioned closer to the back cushion (when this is in the reclined position), because the way it is right now is just plain and simple stupid

So I think these seats could have been designed A LOT better! But again, I prefer not to have anybody leaning back in to my space, I just wish they could have made the seat a little bit more comfier!

Cheers,
Joe
