I leave in 8 days, so will appreciate any current info. TIA.

There are 2 Days Inn properties - Airport & Tumoning. Which has the beach/mall/Hard Rock shuttle service? I believe you were referring to/replying Airport.
Here are the Google Maps coordinates for the three hotels you mentioned:

Days Inn Airport South (Barrigada): 13.4742, 144.7845
Days Inn Tamuning: 13.4938, 144.7898
Grand Plaza Hotel: 13.5081, 144.8045

Beside daysinn.com, check for possible deals at daysinnguam.com.
Also check web deals at www.grandplaza.net.

All three mention only airport shuttle but not local shuttle. Grand Plaza is right on the Tumon strip, so you won't need a shuttle to get around Tumon, and can pick up a tourist bus to get to K-Mart, Micronesia Mall or the Guam Premier Outlets.

From Days Tamuning, you can walk 0.75 miles down the cliff to the beach near Hilton (not safe at night due to narrow road and traffic) or walk 0.5 miles to GPO. K-Mart is 1.0 miles away. Both GPO and K-Mart have tourist buses, but I don't know who stops at Hilton.

Days Barrigada is kind of remote with nothing more than a few stores within walking distance. If you rent a car the place is fine.

Days Inns don't charge for wifi or local calls or to borrow DVD movies from the front desk. Grand Plaza probably follows the Tumon practice of "regular" hotels.

BTW, the company which runs the two Days Inns also bought the former Imperial Suites Hotel (across the street from Days Inn Tamuning) which is now Ramada Guam (ramadaguam.net). On the website it says "free LD calls to US/Canada". I don't know if it's in room, or as in my July 2009 stay at Days Barrigada, the phone connected to the lobby internet PC.
