staying downtown at edgewater and gf's b-day dinner will be next friday night. any recommendations for a place convenient to downtown?

she'd like anything that IS NOT sushi (obviously, since that's one of my favorites) or a steakhouse (my other favorite). she loves wine, and i would love some good seafood, so if i could combine the two then that would be awesome. trying to keep it less than $30 per plate and $12 per glass of wine. perhaps a wine bar/tasting prior to dinner and then off to dinner following that? i originally thought about Purple, but I'd like some more variation of seafood on a menu. again, something convenient to d-town since we won't have our rental car, yet, please

edit:

and as soon as i wrote that, i looked at Anthony's Pier 66 again and realized it was just within several hundred feet of our hotel. would this be an acceptable place for the occasion? maybe that would be best the night before or after?
