If a TSO is snaping photos with their cellphone of the WBI screen, then they should get locked up (and that is where the previously mentioned laws would come into play).
It actually should be noted that anywhere anyone from DHS/TSA is
directly quoted about WBI in a media article/press release, that quote has always been some form of "that function has been disabled." Very clearly different from "that function does not exist." By all appearances, as I have stated in other posts, these devices appear to be two networked workstations for each WBI point - (1) WBI arch, with image generation capability, (2) workstation where viewing is accomplished, (3) connected by some form of network (whether proprietary or standards-based remains to be seen). If they are, in fact, networked devices, there is some form of storage required during transmission from point 1 to point 2.
