I am out of New York and prefer JFK as it has the airtrain. I have an amex platinum so I get the into the lounges and really like that. I work a lot on the computer so I arrive 2-3 hours early and have no problem with a similar layover if there is a lounge.
I have been earning miles on delta and a little on american. Prefer delta for the free drinks. Visit PCB on a annual basis. But maybe achieving lifetime over many years would be a good idea. DO other airlines match that on a year to year basis?
I like Continental as it has free drinks and good flights into mexico and a lounge in las vegas. Downside is Newark is the hub.
United and US airways do not interest me.
The main question is where is it best to get 25 000 miles?
How about depositing only $25k and get 20,000 starwood points?. You can later convert the 20k starwood points to a mileage program of your choice and get 25,000 miles. Starwood gives 5,000 bonus miles with every 20,000 point transfer.
