Am Flying CW to JFK (£590 + 25k miles, bargain!) in April and need some help please with seat selection.

Firstly, to get a good read on seat maps, does anyone know if the JKF 747s are operated by mid or high J metal?

Secondly, and after having established the above, what's the best CW seat?

I know the UD is considered best but that's blocked out at the moment, and whilst I'll be on OLCI as quick as I can to book something on the UD, I'd like to have an "insurance policy" booked!

So - can anyone help?
