I remember a day when it was bottles of water every day, as much as you want. This was a very nice benefit and on a per-person basis didn't cost the hotel too much. Back in those same days I remember purchasing a lot of room-service and hotel restaurant meals.

They dropped the bottles and I dropped my on-property spend, too. Hope it was worth it for them. I sure don't miss the $12 to $15 cheeseburgers and $30 to $40 steaks.
