On Wednesday I am flying from IAD-LAX on United flight 947. I used continental miles to snag a business class saver ticket. Here are my questions...

1. Can I get into United's first class on this segment?
2. How many more miles should it cost? (From the continental website it says 10K but I have called several times to the elite desk and been told no additional cost).
3. How can I see if there is availability without have to call in? I do have an expertflyer account but don't know which fare class to search for.
