You know, I wonder how many people in other countries view us as this, and therefore will be spending their tourism dollars elsewhere.
One anecdote: We have an Italian AFS exchange student living with us in DC. His girlfriend and her father were planning to visit next weekend. After the new rules went into effect after the Christmas incident, visit was cancelled, because the girlfriend's dad did not care to deal with the nasty new security involved in flying to the US of TSA.
