Might HI it up for the stay credit that night and IC from the 14th.
Not sure about the PreDo, tho I am keen to visit Changi Prison Museum, there are tours in English at 11am and 2pm, so if anyone wants to go too, thats great, I understand its excellent
Done, but I left out the Holiday Inn since you are unsure and it probably is not important unless others are staying there that night. Maybe, I missed it since
LarryU and I did not go through all 400 posts to extract the information, but what are your intentions in respect to the dinners? Please let me know.

I'd suggest that those interested in
such (bbq is likely, as opushomes suggests, and chicken dishes)
band together to form a just-say-no-to-fish-abuse table -
vegetarians might have to be included to make a quorum. I'll
say this will be one of the few occasions when I'll not be eager
to dine with lili.
As far as not eating at all goes, don't plan on getting off cheap.
Some concession will be made, I'm sure, if you don't eat, but
imagining that your bill will be 0 is a foolish fond old wish. I'd
also suggest if there are multiple noneaters that you should
spread themselves out to be no more than one or two at a
table - if more, you will be cutting down on the food variety at
that particular table, a behavior that should be penalized!
violists comments are spot on. I've already stated that Jumbo will work with you to meet any distinctive menu needs. Unfortunately, they do not have a copy of the entire menu that they can send. Yes, they have chicken, the can prepare shrimp with butter or cheese.
MarshaB, my wife, learned from experience that the butter shrimp are not what your palate expects. In Singapore, "Dominos Delivers!". No one is going to starve.
Sunday night's restaurant is Chinese, but the beef dish and fried chicken are IMO outstanding (and do not taste particularly Chinese). They also offer numerous vegetarian and meat dishes. Noodle and rice variations are available. If nothing else, you can drink beer while we watch the garbage truck working on the street outside. I doubt that they have wine, but I bet if one brought at bottle or two and an opener, they would let you use a mug to drink it.
Please follow his succinct comments about paying.
Mahasamatman, if I speak for him in his absence and I agree completely. It is not worth becoming a FT pariah for lack of a few Singapore Dollars thrown into the kitty.
Jumbo has verified that my receipt for my never-received Jumbo card is sufficient to get our 10% discount. BTW: expect Elaine, in addition to the others already mentioned (Juna and Erik) to be working on Saturday night. The reservation is under "FlyerTalk". Five tables at this point.

Violist's arrival.

Have you and

Anyone interested in a long walk or hike on Saturday the 16th? could meet up anywhere.
Long walk = 5 or 7 miles (+/-), trails or urban walk ok, not hiking boots or roped climbing

.
Thanks,

The amazing race went to Mount Faber Park. The Singapore Tourist Bureau provided me with a map for an approximately 5 km. hike (maybe longer as they not are high on factual data) through Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Kent Ridge Park. It includes a hilltop walk, forest walk, flora walk and canopy walk.
violist offered another more jungle walk. The botanical garden is also good for walking. Paved.
Take MRT to Harbour Front, exit D. Take Bus 10,30,57,61,65,80,93,100,131,143,145,161 or 300 to the start at Mount Faber Park.
If anyone wants a copy of the map, I can send you a scan (or fax) if you provide your real e-mail or FAX number.
I've had this map for almost a year, but did not post the information for two reasons.
1. 5km between beers is not reasonable.

2. Most attendees only bother to read the final two weeks posts.
