Out of curiosity .....

If you are in the middle of a trip and BA announces a strike, can you simply ask Amex Plat concierge service to "sort the problem out" for you assuming it's redemption and 241 ie flights back extra accomodation dates etc. I assume they have a financial interest in that they provide delay / cancellation insurance.

Anyone any experience?
