No status, is it worth paying to upgrade flights to Maldives?

Hello, WelshBoy and I are trying to cash in some Hilton points before the forthcoming devaluation at the Conrad Maldives. Neither of us have status and are wondering about the possibilities of upgrading. A return in WT is about £580, in WT+is £820 and to go WT + one way and CW one way is about £1400. This is at the current sale prices.
I understand from reading other threads though that this honeymoon destination means that flights in the premier cabins tend to be more full than WT.
Is it true that the WT+ on this route just has three rows with no separate toilets etc?
If we went one way CW I presume it would be better to do it from Gatwick as this is an overnight flight. Would we get lounge access?
I am grateful for any advice you can offer.
If anyone could earn referral bonuses for me joining please PM me.
Thank you
