Amex will not shut your card down if you keep a £0 balance on the day you move and do not make a single transaction - ie do not do anything which would result in miles going to or from your BA account. This includes not refunding anything. I can personally verify this. (That said, I had used my 2-4-1 for the year by that point so I had nothing at risk if they had closed the card.)
