As one who was an RN at Shock Trauma for 10 years, let me tell you, Baltimore is an armpit. The whole corridor, Baltimore to DC for 10+ years led the US in STD's, including HIV infection. Other than the immediate inner harbor, and some points of Fells Point, Baltimore is nasty. I FREQUENTLY discourage folks from visiting.
