They do also load a sandwich for the cabin crew too... although I have to say, they are really quite poor... in fact, that is an understatement...

Most of my BA flights are Band 4 and I see the cabin crew eating something, so I assumed that the crew would be fed at least every other sector. I have to say I am disappointed with BA management about this. A small somewhat dodgy airline that I knew quite well used to feed cabin crew...
I think it is down to the union, they negotiate the catering duty times and what we get etc...

I require no assistance in that area! Quite the porker already...
It amazes me that Flight Crew will often have their meals, and then come out into the galley and try and snag anything left from Club... they can't half pack some food away those boys and girls!

Yes, once the service is over, then if there is anything left then we are able to have something. Also, all soft drinks onboard we are able to have if we want. On routes that sell duty free alcohol, we are also able to purchase items, alcoholic and non, from the bars onboard to take home or have down route if we choose. Hence, why you will sometimes see crew putting things in their bags. We are not "helping our self" to things, we have paid for them.
