I believe that qualifies for the Circle Pac fare. I tried a sample on Airtreks for SYD-HNL-HKG-SYD and came up with a low of US$1975. Not sure if that's Circle Pac or not? Just wondering if just plain one-way fares wouldn't beat that one? Maybe you need to ask CP, Qantas or Air NZ about their Circle Pac deals?
