Carefull with that assumption Dave, I just booked (December 30th) three UK-Far East return trips for the begining of next year. I used the book by schedule function as I always do, one came back as flex and the other two as saver. I could not see any indication of which fare I would end up with until the booking was complete.

Maybe I missing something, or another board member can enlighten us as how to tell before completing the booking. I should earn mileage at the old rate as they were booked before 1st January.
I has looking on Expert Flyer today and the assumption was flawed. On MEL-SIN, the lowest r/t fare is a saver with all others being flex. On SYD-BKK, all were flex
Looking at New York to Dubai, again the cheapest fare was a saver, all others were flex and found the same again looking at London to BKK
