I have just logged onto the new Website and also have the message:

Congratulations. You have achieved the required tier miles to renew your Gold status next year. Your new card will be sent to you after your review date.

Maybe due to the 183'000 Tier miles I racked up last year with them...

I have to say, I am still sceptical about having EK as my preffered airline, only due to their appauling lack of customer service, however, you usually cannot fault their service or thier aircraft, if you plan it right..

I do agree with others that there should be a higher teir, as there are, IMO many gold flyers, but maybe this will be ironed out this year and Gold, their top level, will mean something, and worthy of flying so much with them.
