How early should I actually arrive for domestic flight?
I haven't flown in over ten years.
In those days, if it wasn't an international flight, I have always been pretty cavalier about arriving at the gate in just enough time to board, unless I wanted to board early and get my carryon in the overhead.
Lots of changes - security, tsa, it seems that flights are booked a lot heavier these days, also - just from what I hear others saying.
So, I'm flying out of GSP Jan 4th at noon, on a domestic flight changing planes in Atlanta. GSP is Greenville Spartanburg - about halfway between Charlotte and Atlanta. We are certainly not a hub.
Delta tells me to get there two hours prior to flight time. If that's the case, I'll do it. Even so, it seems like a time waster.
How early do you think I should actually get there?
thanks
