I didn't have any problems using these on a prepaid rate. I actually did not know it was a prepaid rate when I booked online (it was listed as a "Hyatt.com rate"). I just requested at check-out that the original charge be reversed so I could change my payment method. After this was done, I simply produced the certificates and they were taken without any objections. This was at the HR Long Beach, CA on 12/26-27.
