What I find rude is when a person reclines just to recline. I can understand if you are sleeping or are wanting to lay your head down. But some people do the Nike slogan. Just do it because they can. That's irritating.

I have it the same way. I find it rude also when people recline if there is someone sitting behind the person on short hauls. It significantly worsens the flight for the person behind - also more than it benefits the person that is reclining. Imho.
