4th Qtr '09 Recap - 109 Points/Dollar Spent
I was going over my HH account this morning and was surprised at how good a quarter I had. I had 12 stays (6 were mattress runs at low rates due to a slow travel year) and ended up accruing 106,350 points for the quarter. Here's the breakout:
12 stays with a total spend of $975 (excluding taxes)
9,750 pts for 10 base points per dollar
4,875 pts for 5 points/dollar diamond bonus
4,875 pts for 5 points/dollar diamond not double dipping
6,000 pts for 500 points/stay Amex online booking bonus
5,850 pts for 6 points/dollar Amex HH card
75,000 for 25,000 points/4 stays 4th qtr promo
Total points accrued 106,350
106,375 points/975 dollars spent = 109.1 points/dollar spent
Add in another 33,216 points for other Amex HH card purchases and it comes a total of 139,566 points for the quarter! Now I can book an extra GLON award before all the awards change.
It was definitely the highest accrual rate that I have ever had for a quarter.
