I had a tight connection in CLT that was made much worse by the incoming delay. As I walked off the plane, I could feel the GC opening the luggage compartment. I went directly the next flight at the other end of the same concourse and boarded, with the GA shutting the door behind me. The plane immediately left. I thought there was no way my checked bag made it. When I got to SAV, I planned to go straight to the baggage office to file a claim, but to my shock, my bag popped out on the belt as I walked by. They have a very good operation in CLT. No way this would have ever happened connecting through PHL!
