it is my right just as its your right to recline if you are in front of me at any point and for any duration as long as the FA doesn't instruct you to bring seat backs forward

seat backs were made with the intention of reclining; its encouraged by having the button there so that you can use the recline
a door slamming.. a door was made for privacy and safety etc.. not for slamming; it could be argued that slamming a door will actually either break the door or the frame around it; reclining a seat will not break it; unless you take the recline and try to swing it back and forth to break it; then I'd consider that similar to slamming but then again its not for its intended purpose
loud music.. ... is that supposed mean when compared to seat reclining? I'm guessing the hotel has rules about excessive noise and the plane does not have them about excessive reclining as long as you obey FA instructions
