I was puzzled as to why I had $428 in charges but only 427 in Points (times 2) so I called. Each purchase is rounded up or down. So a charge for $9.49 becomes 9 and $10.51 becomes 11. Most of the time it probably rounds out to be the same, (I never noticed it before) but it may be something to keep in mind when adding a tip - make sure it ends over .51 not under .49, or filling the gas tank.
