Belt 8 - reminds me of my recent experience at T5. 11 Dec - fog. LHR chaos. I was just in from SYD/BKK, 0530 ish. Due to fly LHR-EDI then EDI-INV. It became obvious that LHR-EDI would be delayed to the extent that I would miss EDI-INV. Galleries S desk rebooked me to LGW-INV on Flybe.

Luggage unloaded. Then I have to get *myself* landside with my bag. But they want my BP. The desk agent has taken it. I don't have one anymore, and I'm not flying from LHR. Eventually they say 'sod it' and I am escorted - well, not landside, but to FC - then get to wait a long time at Belt 8 - but then, eventually, my bag arrives!

You don't really want the rest, and after this, it's not BA. But briefly - get bus ticket to LGW, courtesy of BA. Check in for 1425 to INV. Past security - 1425 is cancelled. Fog at INV. Escorted landside for the second time. Wait another 45 mins for luggage. Rebook 1920. 1920 leaves nearly on time, but INV again fogbound. Divert ABZ. Wait 90 mins for bus. Arrive INV 0200 next day.
