I must buck the trend.

I am happy this is AMEX. I use amex all the time and keep a visa for backups. Their small business card with membership rewards has been great for aeroplan.

Now I can choose to earn starwood. And hopefullly the 1 for 1 won't max out like the MBNA did at 30,000

If the hardest part of my day is choosing between membership rewards at 1 for 1 or starwood at 1 for 1, its a pretty good day.

And AMEX doesn't harass with all those annoying cheques.

Now, perhaps they've worked out a deal that allows conversion of membership rewards to starwood at 1:1 instead of .250 for 1 or something like that! But I digress. Can't have everything.
