Recently, I flew to Miami on points. Booked a week at the Mondrian because I had heard so many good things about it from friends. Upon checking in, I noticed the hotel room had not been cleaned. What's worse, the sheets hadn't been changed. I was pretty upset and spoke to concierge who moved me to another room, which wasn't nearly as nice as the one I had prior. Long story short, I spoke to the hotel manager and communicated my displeasure. She granted me 2 free nights in 2010 because of it.
Lesson to be learned... if you are ever not happy with service or your stay at a hotel, speak up!

I once complained on a survey from Extended Stay Suites, and got a free night from it.
But the Mondrian is a whole other kettle of fish. They are notoriously undisturbed about complaints. Try anyhow..but remember, you would be getting a free night in a hotel you hate anyhow.
