AA- I have a feeling I might know you lol.
I am currently on a project on Oahu and although I have a house on the north shore, I spent my first few months commuting back and forth from town. I have put in 30+ nights at the Marriott and another 15 at the Courtyard.
The Marriott is MUCH nicer. The Courtyard used to be the Wyland Waikiki. The room quality is not yet on par with the Marriott/Courtyard brand. I was always upgraded to a two room suite. However, every room I was ever in had some degree of carpet stains and severely used furniture. I was treated VERY well by management. They explained that they will slowly renovate the rooms.
The Marriott has a hot tub at the pool by in front of the back tower. This hot tub has been there since at least 2004/2005 when i was here for another project.
Also, neither pool is 'adult' only. There bar is near the front pool.
