I've booked a trip with a couple of girlfriends for late January (Jan. 31-Feb 7) at the Zoetry resort in Riviera Maya (Paraiso de la Bonita) and we're really looking forward to it. But I've been watching the reviews on Trip Advisor, and it looks like the hotel may have changed management within the past few months. There have been more than a handful of very bad reviews recently (noting, in particular, bed bugs!). I'd hate to get there and find out that it isn't what we expect. And it's not too late to change our plans and choose a different resort.

Any advice? I'd especially appreciate insight from anyone that has stayed there recently.

PS: One of our other options would be the Le Blanc Spa Palace in Cancun. I'd appreciate any comparisons you can offer too.
