By the way, this is not new. I had been to this a year ago if I remember correctly...
So you are saying that this is ONLY directed at Non-SQ flights? My original question regarding "What are they looking for?" was answered as "To waste my time". That was my conclusion also, but I had assumed that there must have been some genuine reason for this waste of time in an otherwise civilised airport? Your conclusion appears to be that this practise is a focused attempt to discriminate against carriers other than SQ by targeting only T1?

Surely a civilised country like Singapore would not engage in such discriminatory practises?
