I don't know which programme your miles are in, but in most programmes, Japan is in the same award zone as other countries in the region (Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea). All of these are much-better served by LCCs than Japan is. Personally, I would recommend either TPE or HKG (the latter possibly in connection with a ferry to Macao).
